Founder Diddo van Zand passes the torch

28th of November 2025, Utrecht | After a period of rapid growth and technological advancement, In2Dialog is ready for its next chapter. The AI notetaker for recruitment is focusing on further scaling and international expansion. In that context, founder Diddo van Zand is handing over leadership to René Zwijnenburg, who will assume the role of CEO.

From pioneering to scaling

In2Dialog was founded in early 2022 as a spin-off from Diddo’s previous company Ixly. During his academic years, Diddo was first introduced to artificial intelligence — a field he continued to build on throughout his career, applying AI in areas such as psychometric testing. With this expertise and a strong vision for innovation, Diddo managed to inspire both partners and clients to embrace In2Dialog’s notetaker.

The company has grown rapidly ever since: in 2024, In2Dialog won the Recruitment Tech Award for Best Tool and the Benelux Award for Best AI Application in Recruitment. International recruitment organizations are now reaching out as well.
“My strength lies in innovation and making technology truly usable,” says Diddo van Zand. “Technology should not only be smart, but practical. The phase In2Dialog is entering now requires someone who thrives on scaling, structuring and building on what’s been achieved. I’m glad we’ve found the right person in René.”

Ready for the next step

New CEO René Zwijnenburg joined In2Dialog in April and previously served as COO. With his background in the recruitment and technology industries – including roles at Connexys and MrWork – René brings exactly the expertise and structure In2Dialog needs to move into its next phase.

“We’ve built a very strong foundation,” René explains. “Now it’s about growing efficiently: staying lean as a team while maximizing our impact for clients. My focus is on three key areas: deep partnerships with our (ATS) partners, continued development of our Speech-to-ATS technology and scaling the organization in a smart and sustainable way.”

René and Diddo also see strong opportunities for international growth. “AI is booming in recruitment. Everyone is looking for the best ways to apply it, but we’ve been working with it for years. For us, this isn’t new and that gives new clients, both in the Netherlands and abroad, the confidence to work with us,” says Diddo.

René adds: “At In2Dialog, we don’t add AI to existing tools, as many software providers do. AI has always been our starting point — it’s in our DNA.” That depth of expertise clearly resonates: the company recently welcomed its first Canadian client and interest from across Europe continues to grow.

A strong ‘we-can-do-it’ mentality has been one of the driving forces behind In2Dialog’s rapid growth. “We’re a team of curious minds who want to turn ideas into real-world solutions,” says Diddo. “Always starting from the question: what does this mean for the client?”

René continues: “That mindset is something I want to preserve. We’ll keep building technology that helps recruiters do their jobs better, faster and more personal. Ultimately, our AI is all about results — accurate data, better conversations and users who immediately experience the added value.”
